Pad printing is the process of using a silicone rubber "pad" to transfer an image onto an object. It is used extensively in the promotional industry to brand products such as pens, golf balls, keyrings, glasses, coffee mugs, USB flash drives and many other products. It is a durable method of branding a product requiring a logo with fine detail such as a telephone number or web address. It is especially useful as you can print onto almost any firm object, on materials such as plastic, glass or metal. The maximum print size is 40mm x 40 mm

The Pad Printing Process

Your Logo
We will need to convert your logo into vector. This is essential for pad printing as the image is made from a series of mathematical curves, so it will print very crisply, even when the logo is reduced in size. If you already have your logo in vector format it will reduce artwork costs. An electronic PDF proof will be emailed to you for approval before we go ahead with printing your job.

Pre Production
This is where we print your logo/artwork onto a positive and etch the image onto a plate.

Colour Matching Inks
Most colours can be achieved in the different types of inks. We can either match your Pantone reference, or your supplied physical sample. We also offer metallic inks. Hardeners are added when printing onto metal and glass.

Our Pad Printing machines are able to complete mass production very quickly. We are able to print up to 2 colours on most items.

Turnaround Times
We usually work on a 5 working day turnaround, depending on the size of your order. Note, we do work around customers’ deadlines and will try to accommodate early delivery times where possible.
